Promptrift

Cookie policy

Last updated: Reviewed at launch

This page lists the cookies and similar technologies used on promptrifthq.com, what each one is for, and how to refuse them. It sits alongside our privacy policy.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file a site stores in your browser. It can hold a session id, a preference or an advertising identifier. Local storage, pixels and SDKs do much the same job, so everything below applies to them too.

Cookies we use

Strictly necessary

Set by our hosting and CDN provider to serve pages, balance traffic and block abuse. They carry no marketing data and cannot be switched off without breaking the site.

Analytics

We count page views and referrers to see which articles are worth updating. The measurement is aggregate: no profiles, no cross-site tracking, no data sold. If a cookie-free analytics tool is in use, no cookie is stored at all.

Advertising (third party)

When display advertising is active, Promptrift serves ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies — including the DoubleClick cookie — to serve and measure ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Third-party vendors we don't control may set their own cookies through those ad slots, governed by their own policies.

Embedded content

Articles may embed YouTube videos in privacy-enhanced mode. YouTube stores nothing until you press play; once you do, Google's cookies and privacy policy apply.

Affiliate links

Clicking an affiliate link may let the merchant set a cookie to attribute the referral. We only receive aggregate reporting — clicks and conversions — never your name or payment details.

Your choices

  • Where the law requires it — including the EEA and the UK — non-essential cookies load only after you consent. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time from the consent banner.
  • Turn off personalised ads inGoogle Ads Settings.
  • Opt out of third-party vendor cookies ataboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.eu.
  • Block or delete cookies in your browser settings — Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge all let you do this per site. Blocking everything may break embedded content.
  • Browsing in private or incognito mode clears cookies when you close the window.

Changes

New tools mean new cookies. When that happens this page is updated before the tool goes live, and the date at the top changes.
